OMG!!!!!…..you just don’t how much you helped me. I have been considering the cut for a few years and now I’m ready for real….lol I have been growing my locs for 13 years, they had grown down to my butt. Last year August I cut them to my shoulders and couldn’t have been happier. So now I’m ready
For the plung, I’m untangling them and letting my hair blow threw the wind. Thank you again for this blog and you beautifully rock either style.

Maxwell and Kerry did it better! Her smokey eye and tossed bed hair are totally sexy. And while Fitz is cool, he has nothing on Maxwell. Not even in the same catagory. They both gave us the ultimate red light special in that video.

That is probably a big driver, but I also think the look and feel are super cool, I believe the director Baz Luhrman was also behind Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge.

I have never read it (I know, gasp!) but plan to in the next week. I really want to see it too. I’ve been wondering if Jay-Z’s involvement/the music is driving a lot of people to see it.

The change is just shocking! I think most people don’t it’s even possible to unravel locs…then the contrast is like WHOA, what is going on here??? Especially going from locs to straight. I think you look gorgeous either way.

I’m three and a half years post-relaxer and just enjoying my free hair, though I recently decided I’m staying away from flat irons for a little while. My hair hates them. I have little straight patches all over the place. I have this idea that I’ll loc my hair once I have my first kid. My bff was natural for like 5 years and permed her hair within a month after having her first daughter. She said, “I just don’t have the time to do my hair with this lil baby who needs me every five seconds!” I don’t ever want to perm my hair again and I know how time-consuming loose natural hair can be. Every once in a while I wish for the easy maintenance of locs, but I have some goal lengths to get to first!
